I've got a week off work in sept and if the weather is ok thinking about doing the coast to coast over 3 days. would be self sufficient staying at b and b or hostels.I would get the train to the start and my wife would pick me up at the end so would be carrying the basics like change of clothes for the evening ,washing gear, few spares and snacks.never done anything like this before but think its pretty achievable for my level of fitness and determination. What is the best way to carry my supplies.in a camelback rucksack or a couple of paniers.I have a road bike(whyte Suffolk)

Many thanks for any advice

A big saddle bag plus handlebar bag? The bar bag is good for stuff you need on the ride and a 6+ litre saddlebag for overnight stuff.

A solution on the bike is always preferable to weight on you back (which becomes weight on your backside) so if you already have panniers then go with them.
