Hi,
I have a 10 speed 105 set up currently....can I use the left hand shifter (front double chain rings) and buy an 11 speed right hand shifter (rear cassette) and they will work fine in an 11 speed set up?
(Taking as read that I will change FD, RD, Crankset and chain)

yes
btw you can keep the fd and crankset, maybe just tweak the fd adjustment a bit - i still use my old 10-speed srm with the rest switched to etap, no issues at allmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
Not quite - the cable pull for an 11spd front mech won't work properly with your 10speed L hand shifter - you'd need to keep your old front mech.FFS! Harden up and grow a pair0

Ok, thanks both...so if I've got this right...
Existing Shimano 10 speed (double) LH shifter, with existing cabling to
Existing Shimano 10 speed (double) FD
New Shimano 11 speed RH shifter, with new cabling to
New Shimano 11 speed RD
Existing Shimano crankset, running a
New Shimano 11 speed chain
Should all work fine together...right?0 -
yep
one other thing, i think shimano also changed the brake pull on 11-speed levers (they pull more cable)
once set up, they'll still work ok but the feel will be differentmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -

That was on the second generation ten speed (5700/6700/7900) rather than 11 speed.0 -
Brilliant, thanks for all the replies0
