You're having a good day foodwise. What you got planned for dinner?

Me going to hire SDS drill, some fluorine trichloride and a couple of paddy's. Update later. Might be popping in to see Wheelspinner, even though it's the middle of the night there.

    Laters.

I've no idea what they cost to hire, but you can pick up (a cheap) one for about £50. I know you get what you pay for and all that, but mine is still going strong after being used to take the kitchen down to brick (couldn't see through the dust!) and various other jobs.

It cost £22 inc VAT to hire per day I have a cordless 24v DeWalt SDS drill. It wasn't quite up to the job. That thing is best for taking off old plaster but not hard concrete.

Anyway, job done. Now the putting together bit.

Decided to cheer myself up by having steak and chips for breakfast.

What a magnificent breakfast. Did you pop a fried egg on top?

Ah hell, see, I forgot about that. Dang it boyo - next time.

Just steak (x2) with a huge pile of chips and a mug of coffee,

You'll have to go for a run to burn off the calories MF. :D

    Cheeky git :)

Just finishing dinner (spaghetti and meat balls, nice cold ice cold Peroni) then going to put old wheel and tyre on Dirk and fix him to the turbo trainer. May even sit on him.

    Ciao!

Spaghetti with meatballs in tomato sauce I cooked this afternoon so have been sitting in ragu (home made stuff, not that slop out of a jar) and their own juices slowly yet inexorably gaining flavour and taste.

Nice cold ice cold Peroni to wash it down, TDV and Bambina at a meeting at her to be new school so just me and bambino.

    What are you having?

Roast chicken thighs. Sauteed courgettes. Sauteed mushrooms. Kirin Ichiban beer.

I do a mean ragu, 5 or 6 hours, rich tomatoey winey goodness. Always a mix of mixed pork and beef with diced pancetta or guanciale if i can get it. Onions, garlic, celery, carrots, all finely chopped. Few tins good quality chopped tomatos, half a bottle of wine. Cook until it's ready. I like to add chicken livers, missus not so much.

Good luck with all of that MRS.

I wasn't going to pedal in today as I did that yesterday - bloody glad I didn't, it was fuki norrible. One of our lot was caught up in the London Bridge incident on Saturday night - she's badly shaken but unhurt. We given her some time off to recover and HR have helpfully sent the number for the corporate counselling service...

May stop off and buy some new brogues on the way home tonight, one of my old pairs is disintegrating.

Tell her to drop me a line - I'll sort her straight ..............

If you fail, head over here. Some very dangerous pointy things that may have caused damage and would need medical adjustment.

Have you ever seen anything so pointy?
