Bike Carriers

Looking for a bit of advice/benefit of experience. Need a way to carry 5 bikes on my Vauxhall Zafira (4 kids bikes, 1 adult). I have roof bars for a box. Any recommendations for carriers/roof systems? I don't have a tow bar so thinking a 3 bike carrier on the back and the 2 larges bikes on top. What carriers/roof systems can anyone vouch for?

I have a Grand Scenic HATE and LOATH roof carriers, you need a ladder.

BUT if you have to use a roof carrier then whilst they are cheapish I used Halfords own for years and they were VERY good indeed

Yes I know they are not expensive but believe me we have four bikes and before I had a towbar these NEVER EVER let us down, just remember whatever you chose secure each wheel on any carrier with these or similar
