Hi,

Can anyone recommend a rim tape that works for 19mm internal rims?

i've just replaced mine with specialized red rim tape, (band style that you stretch over the rim). Fitted the tyres and tubes, then 10 minutes later both tubes have blown where the rim tape has slid away exposing the nipple hole, now very pissed off!

Never had an issue with rim tape. You can even run a couple of loops of insulation tape round and it should work fine.

Strapping tape (the kind with the glass fibers woven into it) works great just have to punch a hole for the stem, but put it on taunt; or if want the traditional bike stuff then just use Velox cloth tape. Electrical tape does not work good so don't use that.

Yepp, I am running my RR 440s with exactly that. 19mm rims seem to match perfectly. I did take care to use some red tape to make the wheels a little faster...it also helps them to spin up and roll well.
