Where can I find plain red cycling socks,

Been trying to find plain red high (crew length) cycling socks, the only thing I've found is the swiftwick ones. Any other options out there?

Buy any colour socks and give them to your wife to wash, telling her they are really valuable: they'll come out red.

What special qualities does a cycling specific sock posess? Can you not use any old sock of the appropriate length and colour?

My summer ones are just plain white ones from M&S. Part of their Back to School range IIRC; think I got 5 pairs for £6. I do have ickle feet though.
