will this work got XTR Trail M980 10 Speed Triple Chainset want to go 11speed on the back so i can run 42 Cassette with a xtr 11 speed mech 11 speed chain .running at xtr 10 speed mech with a 11-36 Cassette.any info 8)

    Erm, so you want to run a 42 and a 36 cassette with an 11 and a 10 speed mech? Or am I missing something?
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    You can only run 42t cassette on single 1x11 setup I thought.

    You'll need to change shifter, rear mech, chain and cassette.

    If your current setup works why change it?

    You could drop 2 chainrings from front and go 1x10 and fit a sunrace mx3 11-42 10spd cassette.
