A rare post from me to offer a slight 'whoop' on this news.
Not sure about the start though, and I'm still not interested in finishing circuits in anything describing itself as a 'tour'.
But they aren't putting it anywhere near relevance to a race winning move... so you'll get the whole bunch going tempo up an easy climb. Woop-di-doo...
Surprised none of your traditionalists are complaining about the move away from Brugge... won't be the same Flanders without those shots of the start in the Brugge market square blah blah blah...
Are all you misty eyed lot also wanting our country back? The Muur was only selective during the EPO era, before and prior to that the Bosberg played an equally important role.
I prefer the new course, it makes for a more tactically interesting race. There, I said it.

Hasn't been the same spectacle since the route change.

Unless you're a spectator.
Roadside spectating at Oude Kwaremont was great with the finishing circuit. I'm glad they've kept the circuit.

Agreed. I've only made it there the once since they introduced it, but it's great from a roadside perspective
Current course is too selective.
WTF - putting it 100km from the finish thus ensuring there's no selection on it
