Ive been casually looking at alarmed locks and padlocks and even found a purpose built bike alarm but does anybody have any experience of this kind of thing?
Im happy with my bike security however if any of these anti tamper gizmos work then it would give me an extra layer of security and possibly deter a thief from trying to unscrew my brakes and shifters for example whilst the bike is parked
Some of the stuff I found looks like junk, I wouldnt expect a £5 bike lock with a siren to be up to much, but I cant stop thinking this is an obvious market and I might have missed something
Cheers

Motion activated one in use, bought locally, and a landmine from Kranks. Short ride away.

Maplin has a cheap alarmed padlock. It easily locks round the bars or the frame, and if the bike is moved, the alarm will go off. We had a spate of break ins to the works bike shelter. I already had good locks, but this was a good deterrent.0
