Hi. I'm looking for ideas on a few loops around Ystradgynlais (beacons). 40/ 50 miles tops.

Black Mountain, devil's elbow are definitely on my list.

Bwlch & Rhigos are within striking distance, you could also head towards Brecon and head over Eppynt if you fancy a longer ride. How about North over the Black Mountain, head east to Trecastle and turn right at the Castle Coaching Inn past the Usk reservoir to Llanddeusant, back over the Black Mountain to Ystradgynlais or continue through Trecastle to Sennybridge then take the A4067 back to Ystradgynlais.
When are you intending on heading out?
