The three riders in the early break - Patrick Grestch (Ag2r-La Mondiale), Stefan Küng (BMC) and Jay McCarthy (Tinkoff). Team Nippo are chasing so that they don't miss out.
After 80km Kung, Domont, Ciccone, Denifl, Koshevoy & Martinez have 2'30" on what's looking like a single peloton after that early activity when sprinters and significant others were dropped.
100km to go and the breakaway group has 3mins on the rest. This stage is very similar to S7 of the 2014 race. Nacer Bouhanni won on that day in a bunch sprint ahead of Nizzolo and Mezgec.
Speed the peloton are going up the last Cat4 climb, the Valico Della Somma, no-one is going to get detached. Breakaway only has 1'30", which probably has something to do with it. They won't want a catch too soon as this will just encourage lots of attacks later on.
Edit - Cunego is trying to gain a few points to hold on to the blue jersey by going off the front of the main field.
200m from the end, Greipel engages beast mode and makes everyone else look like they're stationary as he disappears over the line.
Im surprised Greipel doesn't bend his bike when accelerating with such explosive power.

... then we get that early Cat2 climb, which will be of great interest to those who are battling for the Maglia Azzurra (Cunego et al)
1. Kung 2. McCarthy 3. Gretsch (all from the early break) then 4. Wellens 5. Cunego 6. Visconti.
With that MTF yesterday that could mean Wellens has overtaken Cunego for the KOM blue jersey.
Front group of 55, inc all the main favourites, now have 2m19s over the rest. 45km covered. 38.2kph avg speed.
Greipel - 36%
Kittel - 25%
Demare - 14%
Nizzolo - 11%
Others include Ewan, Hofland, Modolo, and Lars Bak.
