    Volta Limburg

    BMC v Jumbo

    Gilbert v Hofland

A couple of other 'ex-pros' to tick off your spotter list.

Not there this year and missing it already!

Looks like BMC domination... not a Lotto-Jumbo in the top 10!

Yes. Aparantly they missed the break and never managed to close the gap.

Hofland is beginning to look like all hair gel and no legs. Needs to take a lesson out of Dylan's book and start trying harder!

    Hey, Ridgerider,

    How's things in Eastbourne?

I always look forward to the Hel van Het Mergelland / Volta Limburg race, as it used to be my local sh!t small race and I did the sportive a couple of times. BMC were so dominant this year, which made it a little less exciting, but still worth a look at the highlights - they are on Steephill.tv.for those who haven't seen it. Good to see the traditional Dutch sh!t small race pastime of a couple of fietsers straying onto the course. :D

Loving the Tour of Azerbaijan advert I keep seeing on Eurosport.
Like some sort of homage to early 90s production techniques

Marc Fournier wins the overall at Sarthe. Not bad for a kid who had only finished one pro race before.

Dan McLay has won the GP de Denain, a 1.HC race in France. A quality sprint to win it:

There were 99kms shown live on French and Dutch Eurosport.
Those 11 seconds were the only action.

had he been better positioned it needn't have been such a spectacular recovery.

Great bit of bike handling to get through those gaps.
  • Robbie McEwen used to say he saw the gaps not the riders...

I did mention that I wondered what the other sprinters might say after a race where they were beaten like that and got slaughtered!

    Chicken dinner
Then trifle, pecan pie, the cheese board, an Irish coffee and a little Maccy D's to top the night off.
