Thanks. Thought I'd post something showing Sagan's position after the recent posts.0 -
If you're hankering for a bit of mud, Morroco is the place apparently

While on a non-cycling tour in morocco a couple of years back I spent a lot of time looking at the roads thinking what fantastic potential there is for a bike race. Don't know anything about the actual race but the Tizi n'Tichka pass would be fantastic (and has a good surface).0 -
Boonen's talking a big game.
Doesn't think he's on the form of 2012 ("let's face it, i had won 11 races by this time then") but he does say "this is the race that really suits me and I can win it at 90%).
Says tailwinds are tougher - less time for recovery between the sections.0 -
I see it playing out like 2008, with Boonen, Cancellara and either Sep, Sagan or a Sky going away together with about 30-40k to go.
Praying for a Tomekke victory, it would make my year so far0 -

Great video, you really see the roughness of the cobbles in slow motion, look at how their arms flex.0 -

I rode the Arenberg last Summer in a rainstorm and I don't remember it looking anything like as muddy as that !
Have they tried to remove the weeds and ended up pulling loads of mud up or something because while I thought it was bad when I rode it that looks a fair bit more dangerous.[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0 -

Lotto news:
Benoot is riding.
Face looks pretty beaten up. He did stick in a 100km training ride plus did a recce of the cobbles so he's feeling OK. He thinks he can do something...
Roelandts isn't feeling great. Form is improving but he's worried it'll be too little too late.0 -

Yeah, it looked very slippery to me. Plenty of crashes amongst the sportive riders. Might have dried out a bit during the day, but it's raining here now!0 -
Bets placed.
Sep EW at 9/1.
Terpstra EW at 18/1
Boonen EW - 22/1
Cancellara EW at 5/2 (free bet, so mainly a hedge to get my money back).0 -

Given that I put my money on the wrong 100/1 shot at the National today, I might just have a look at that Boonen price again in the morning.
Again, praying for a Tomekke win0 -

I've punted for Stannard @ 22/1, Stybar @ 11/1 and Cancellara @ 5/2."One thing that is worse than Carlton Kirby: people complaining about Carlton Kirby.
Talk about first world problems."

Pichot has broken his saddle clean off already.
Some will say the cobbles played no part in this incident as it happened on a regular tarmac road, but it was obviously the result of nervous anticipation...Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -

15 minutes delay in starting. Probably to do with trains and tailwinds?
