me old eyes aren't as good as what they used to be, can anyone recommend a good bike computer with a large face/easy read digits?
not too bothered if its wired or not but a cadence one would be even better
don't want to go down the garmin route
thanks in advance

It might be helpful if you do state your budget, thus preventing people from posting products unsutable to you.0 -
yeah....really sorry about that Brandon
just to make things clear......I'm a mingebag riding an old bike, I don't have the money for a pinarello or £100+ to spend on a bike computer, however, when people reply there's always the option that I might be able to afford that same kit if someone is selling it cheaper e.g. the for sale section/eBay etc so I wasn't dissing the reply from DJ58, merely stating a fact with a touch of irony on Black Friday
I've tried getting it cheaper but not happening at present. Feel free to post an ad for a big faced computer though Brandon....0 -
No offence taken by me Coppi, here is a more basic version of the all sing and dancing Padrone, does not have the cadence function though, may or may not be with in your budget.

thanks DJ, I never intended any offence and I didn't think you'd take offence anyway. I'd looked at that one coz its the first one that came up during some of my searches, seems there's a few padrones with different model numbers so I had to be on the ball with the CC - PA500B. I'm getting a few dvd's for the turbo so a cadence model would be useful......I'll keep looking in the hope a cheap one appears but thanks for your help0

Why not just save up and buy something useful instead of rushing into a purchase that is sub standard.
A Garmin Edge 500 is all you'll ever need, you can get one of those new for about £100 or less 2nd hand.Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

cheers superspud, an all singing all dancing model is second to a large screen model/easy read due to me poor eyes but you make a good point.
do you know if the Garmin is large screen digits/easy readable?
cheers0 -
just googled the Garmin 500 and the readout looks small, I'll have to get into a shop and take a proper look at the computers0

It has about 6 screens that you can scroll through, just put the 1 metric per page.Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/
