Hi

I've got a 2015 specialized enduro 650b and all it's missing Is a dropper.

It has internal cable routing, so what are people's opinions?

Reverb stealth or command ir?

Any deal about at the moment or any other options that people can recommend?

I am ready to buy now but want to make sure I make the best choice.

Cheers

I've been looking a lot and the reverb. No doubt it's a great post but it's inline which puts me off as currently my bike is comfy and I have a sodgy back so don't really want to mess with it.

  • What do you mean when you say inline?

Any ideas of any deals about or who's selling the cheapest?

What length etc should I go for?

Here's an image of both. Inline the saddle sits right above the post. Layback it's slightly behind meaning you get a little more room giving the feeling of a slightly larger frame.

As for length the selling sites normally tell you how to calculate what you need.

For lengths - check out this thread http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=20005&t=12971373

I have a KS Lev Integra which I find great. I have tried an older command and didnt like the lack of infinite adjustment but I believe modern ones have it.

Most people will recommend what they have. The market leader is the Reverb. Most people will say Reverb.

Have been using a Thomson for a couple of years no compliants it just keeps working. Also looks and sounds rather good.

Also have a NP Oklo which is like a Deore version of the Thomson. Has had a couple of repairs and compared to the Thomson it feels meh but otherwise it's OK

Son just bought himself a Reverb Stealth with 125mm of drop. Easy to fit with the internal routing, cable shortening was a piece of cake with no more than a sharp stanley knife as a specialised tool (bleeding kit came with the retail boxing). He says it is brilliant, but after only 1 month of use can't comment on longeivity.

Purchased from alltricks.com as at the time this was the cheapest option. But make sure you don't do what I did and purchase first the non-stealth version in error, and then have to pay for the post to get returned to France, thus throwing away all of the value that I had saved when compared to buying it from Wiggle etc.
