Hanging bike from rafters by seatpost - dropper?

To keep the floor of the garage reasonably walkable (and to provide something handy to secure bikes to), we've always hung up bikes by their seats hooked onto the rafters (with some pipe lagging to avoid scratches).
Son has just invested in a Reverb - would I be right in thinking that it might be ill-advised to continue hanging the bike up like this as it would put an unusual strain (i.e. upwards) on the dropper post assembly?

I had my bike hooked over the bike repair stand by its saddle for a couple of days when I first got the dropper and it had a bit of a paddy about it - only needed to pump up the air chamber to sort it but avoided doing it since (KS Lev post).Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.0
