Hi everyone,

Needing some new tyres for my Whyte 801 (2014). I mainly use my bike for commuting and some light trail riding. My commute takes me across varied surfaces from cycle paths to Edinburgh streets - think rough roads and cobbles. But I do some dirt trail riding too, forest path, canal path etc.

So basically I need something decent to handle all that. Any advice??

Thanks in advance

Stephen

  • Cheers, I'll look into them, though they seem to be hard to find in 27.5 size.

The SB8 is a great compromise tyre, good on tarmac and fine on any sort of offroad until there is enough sloppy mud to lift the tread clear of the ground.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
