Hard tail or full sus for an intermediate on a budget?

Hey guys,

I used to mountain bike a lot and had to give it up for a while. I've decided to take up th sport again and am looking to buy a new bike!

I have about £800/£900 to spend and am wondering if a hard tail or full sus bike will be best for me? I want to do some trail riding and downhilling, so what do you think?

Thats a hard tail budget to be honest, but you might want to take a look at the decathlon sale.

Calibre Bossnut for £1k. There are a handful of decent full susers out there for around that.

I suggest looking into 2015 Models, you can get really good discounts on them (~30%).

If you can stretch your budget slightly then the Calibre Bossnut is a great looking and well specced bike (and rides well according to the reviews).
