The place is so quiet now, way, way less traffic and posts than a just a couple of years ago. Lots have left due to tech issues.
I think lots of forums are going that way, not just this place. If people can get everything on facebook, sites like BR lose their purpose.0 -

The way FB works obviously improves the community aspect and - but all the admin are regular posters and integrate. I feel that this is no longer happening here and, combined with slow response to requests, is impacting on traffic. I get the feeling it can be a bit daunting for newcomers to post here too.0

I think the real reason for the change is accountability and liability. They want employed staff to keep an eye on the place, though it seem obvious there is no proper or full time admin role - probably just a branch of other duties. Even though I once wrote for WMB, I am no longer a paid employee. I could have quite easily have shut the forum down, deleted other Admin and caused complete havoc. The new team could too... but you know what I am saying lol.
I just hope it works out as I invested a lot of free time in this place. Sure, there are some selfish reasons for wanting my admin privileges back, I can't deny that, but to see the place slowly erode away and become faceless is sad. I hope some of the new team integrate, introduce themselves and gain the trst of the community that is left.0 -
