Would I hate doing cross country on a Capra?
I have a once in a lifetime chance to spend some decent money on a mountain bike. I don't get to trail centres that often a lot of my riding is resonably tame bridal ways I know for this the Capra is overkill but would it be a complete waste of time?(as in not much fun)
I do intend getting up the Quantocks at least once a month and maybe Wales a bit more often.
So all in all my main riding will be tame cross country stuff.
Opinions on the Capra would be appreciated also. Especially sizing I'm 182cm site says medium but I'm sure I read the sizes slightly on the small side.
Thanks in advance for your comments.

I think it would be horrible on bridleways.
So use what you already have for those and buy one for rougher stuff if you want one.I don't do smileys.

The Capra will be terrible for that sort of riding, even on Quantocks and trail centres it's completely overkill. Unless you're going to be riding black downhill (not trail centres, proper downhill ) and regular enduro racing then bikes like the Capra make no sense at all.
For what you describe, something like a Giant Anthem, Trek Fuel or Canyon Nerve would be a MUCH better bike.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
