I am looking to buy a new bike ,mainly for commute to work and weekendstuff in parks. Budget is an issue so trying to get one as cheap as possible. I know you can't get a really decent bike for less than about 500 but I was hoping to get something that will suit my needs for 300 max .I have been looking at these two bikes .I can't find any proper user reviews on them so I'm asking on here in the hope someone can share some advice , or should I avoid them both.

First bike
Sorry won't let me post url for this one but you can find it by searching this....

Indigo verso x3 mens hybrid bike

Second bike

What sort of riding in parks?

You don't need to spend £500, but better can be found at that price, especially if you don't really need the suspension forks
This is much better equipped than either of those, lighter and faster rolling and despite having rigid forks will cope with gravel tracks just fine.

Of the two the Viking is better, but Promax disc brakes are not great.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
