I have also just realised that Katusha's Zakarin is gone from GC as he lost 17 mins yesterday.

Yep, many lost out yesterday, Zakarin big time.

BOTD today: Domont, Tvetcov, Chavanel, Dillier and Polanc have a 1 minute gap over Malaguti, Peloton at 2 minutes, 23K done

61km to go. 10 mins 25 the gap.

Shouldnt Tinkoff be thrashing it on the front by now?

Break has almost 10 1/2 minutes on the maglia rosa group.

As an aside one of my cats keeps picking her head up at the commentary, they do keep talking about Coppi (her name, my other cat is Merckx but she'd be "meh" if they started talking about Eddy)

Win looks like its coming from the break unless they are really rubbish climbers.

  • Anybody else watching via raisport.rai.it? La diretta says video not supported... is it geoblocked? I watched this channel on Monday no problem. I can see helicopter and moto just fine, not the mixed la diretta channel.

Tvetcov pops off to do some sightseeing. No harm done though.

Edit - shoe strap is bust. I guess this doesn't count as a mech repair then :D

Last climb is not particularly difficult apparently so would be hard for the climbers to get a proper gap and a lot of effort to sustain it.

So he wins the Tour de Suisse and then can't even stay inside the time cut? Hmm.

Struggling to think who I want to win from the break.

    Chava I guess?

Chava would be mildly pleasing. No doubt he'll have a suicide attack 1km too far out and balls it up though

Nieve with a front wheel change just as the leaders get to the bottom of the Abetone climb. 16km to go and a 6min lead.

Chavanel goes and only Dillier can follow. Not surprising.

    13.5km, 5mins.

Lampre and Ag2r manage to get up.

had a haircut at lunchtime today - that mirror they use to show you the back has gone from being the mirror of pointlessness to the mirror of shame :(

Oh, btw Chava has had a crack
