Couples Fitness (weight loss & endurance)

Hi there,
Im needing some advice on what me and my partner can do together, I'm wanting to increase my fitness for enduro riding as i find myself out of breath after a few laps round some trails, high heart rate etc. I only weigh 9 stone, I'm 21.
My partner is 20 and wanting to lose weight, she's not a cyclist (she has a vintage raleigh, which wouldn't stand up to my Yeti lol)
I was wondering what training we could do together so it would benefit us both, while motivating each other. This would be without going to the gym, so activities like running and swimming. But I'm no expert on weight loss so I'm not sure if what would help my endurance would help her lose weight.
Thanks.

It's the old adage in order to go faster you go slower.
Just go out for some long steady rides for a couple of hours, gradually increase them for longer rides up to 5 hours.
This is also the best way to loose weight, improve your fitness and get your lungs more efficient. Now where's that "Get Out of Crash Free Card"0
