Hi
I have some Reba Race U Turn forks. I have been wanting to service them for ages and now the seals have gone and are leaking oil.
I just wanted to check a couple of things before I get started.
I got my bike in 2009 (new) so I guess they are 2009 forks?
I was going to follow this:

and purchase

http://www.bike-discount.de/en/buy/rock ... oC3e7w_wcB
will this do the damper seals and the air side?
and just checking I haven't missed anything obvious.
regards

All looks pretty good, you will need oil for the damper and a different oil to lube the lowers though too plus grease.
The year of the forks can be determined from the serial number normally.0 -
great, where is the serial number?
I have read that the upper should be 5wt oils and the lower it says 10wat and then in the next box 15wt, suggesting you can use either. Will it make a difference if I use 10 or 15?
Cheers0 -
The serial number should be on the back of the crown, with the first number after the T indicating the year. For example an 8 would be 2008, 9 would be 2009 etc.

Using a different oil may change damping etc. it'll be more important in the damper than the lowers though
I've previously used a kit from TF Tuned and can recommend them, someing like this will include your oils, grease and also some of the seals. http://www.tftuned.com/32mm-rockshox-re ... -kit/p27530 -
Just a quick thanks,
Forks now fully serviced and silky smooth, saved myself a ton of money and it was good pop my fork service cherry. I did my lower legs, damper and +- air spring. No major issues, apart from not putting a small ring clip on properly and then the full - air spring coming apart inside the chamber..all good fun0 -
