Anyone tried Superstar Silicone Grips?

Typically use Supagrippa's but have been using the Excel since Christmas. Now I like the diameter size as it feels comfy but the length is probably a bit too much, even on my long bars, so the Shifter/Brake positioning isn't the greatest. Was thinking of trying the silicone grips which have an average length but a bigger diameter than Supagrippa's - anyone switched to these and what are your thoughts? They aren't as cheap as their usual fayre.

I was going to, to replace my battered ESIs, but they weren't much cheaper, and were heavier so I got ESIs!0

Were they near enough the same sizing? Would you recommend silicone grips? I've got loads of lock-on collars from susperstar to use-up!Family, Friends, Fantastic trails - what else is there

I'm the same as you, I find the excels comfy but too wide.0

A mate (Northwind on here) tried them. Said they were ok but not as good as the ESI's. They made his hands more tired compared to the ESI's he said.
I can thoroughly recommend ESI's. They're my favourite grips for anything but a DH bike.0 -
Thanks Peter413
Any chance the ESI's would work with Superstar lock-on collars?

No chance. They're not lock ons. They've never slipped though except when crashing. They almost glue themselves to the bar when you install them.
Having no collars is part of what makes them so good.0 -
I'll take a look
