Best bike for the Haute Route

Sold my Roubaix today and need to get another bike. Im very close to ordering a ROSE XEON CGF-3000 for £1500. I also looked at a canyon Endurace but i wasn't confident about their sizing.
I will be using the bike for spring/summer training and The Haute Route Pyrenees in August. I suffer from a very bad neck so can't have anything too ''racy''.
My budget is £1500. I don't think i can get anything better for the money than the ROSE however it would be good if anyone has any other ideas.
Cheers

How about something with discs for more confident braking on the descents? More and more "endurance" style geometry bikes are cropping up equipped with these. The Giant Defy Advanced range has options in your price ballpark.
