Mudguards - Synapse with 28mm tyres

I have upped the tyres on my Synapse to 28mm. It has noticeably benefited the ride, unfortunately my Crud RoadRacers don't fit them. I don't like getting a wet bum, avoiding a soggy front mech would also be good! :)

Are there any alternatives that will fit the 28s? That like the Crud's are light and offer decent protection?

    Portland Design Works do some very nice mudguards, or sks raceblade longs

    For those interested. In the end I fitted Zefal R30 plastic mudguards, they're pretty effective on the synapse, with just enough clearance for 28mm tyres.

    They're pretty similar to the Cruds, slightly heavier but also sturdier.

    The only negative is the lack of front mech protection.
