Saw this on the news - https://yougov.co.uk/profiler#/

Basically search for famous people or brands or anything really and shows you things that marketeers like in order to profile you.

Wiggo:

https://yougov.co.uk/profiler#/Bradley_Wiggins/ You are a middle aged bloke who live oop North has a dog and likes eating faggots!

Bertie:

https://yougov.co.uk/profiler#/Alberto_Contador/media - AKA FrenchFighter - Well to do older gent living in out in the country, reads Womans Health and is a big fan of Kate Humble.

How well do you fit into the "norm"?

Not very good as Wiggins is a big fan of "Wigan Rugby League Football Team" and I believe there is a seat reserved for him. (so you can't sell him one)

If that isn't already a musical sub-genre then someones should make it one.

For the record, it's less 'typical' and more 'statistically different'.

So if you're looking at football fans for certain teams, some teams will have a female profile, despite that the majority of their fans being male - this is because they have more female fans than the usual football team.

    etc.

but they said it doesnt show the "typical" fan, it shows the quintessential fan of that group and the data point is comparison against similar groupings to generate some kind of targetted marketing.

so "quintessential" fans of Vicky Pendleton are apparently 60+ year old men whose favourite hobbies are driving cars and reading the daily express, no doubt those Strictly appearances influencing those, but not exactly your typical womens track cycling fans Id have said.

So, people who wear Armani are likely to be 18-24 male businessmen in London who have £1000+ disposable income a month and are into boxing, read The Sun, and like Big Brother. You see loads of these people.
