Bum window

I now have 2 pairs of bib shorts that have an unfortunate "bum window", where the material has worn away to reveal my cheeks to following riders - not good for all concerned :(

The rest of the shorts are in great condition, apparently certain types of arse sweat eats/dissolves the material shorts are made of.

Does anyone have any tips on how to maybe put a patch over the offending area on the short to hide said backside?

I was hoping that there is some kind of material spray glue that I could use to stick a spare piece old shorts over it?

Doubt there is much you can do tbh....how quickly do you get said...'bum window'?
I've had my b'twin ones for the best part of 3 years and still look new. Decathlon also give you 2 year warranty on their products with their loyalty card, just get a refund/exchange if you get said window

Do you use a bum-bag? - quickest way to wear through a pair of shorts.

    Get a black tattoo? ;-)

I have never experienced, seen or every heard of this phenomenon before!

I have one pair of bib shorts (dhb's, so we're not talking Assos here) which are 3 years old and are fine.

    Are you a "larger" rider?

Just buy new shorts, or wear briefs under your bibs.

I've had the miss fortune to be behind a rider on a club run who's Lycra had gone rather see through. Don't know if it's caused by over use, poor care when washing or a combination of both or something else.

Needless to say the rider was politely asked to sort his arse flashing out PDQ

2 out of 3 of my shorts are embarrassing to wear... I am told... however, I have a great ass and I think it's a feature...

I trashed a pair of Assos shorts on a long offroad ride - bum bag wore the lycra see-through over my cockyc so they are kept for solo rides and turbo use.

Spray your bum with black spray paint before donning your shorts, simples :D .

Assos are some of the worst offenders.
