Prob in the wrong section but meh its been a hard week.
Off to Newquay for the Bank Hol weekend on the annual lash up, any decent rides/routes around 30/40 mile to work off the hangover and earn a beer token or 2?
Cheers.

The coast road to padstow from newquay is nice with a few nice climbs or if you don't like it to lumpy head south towards crantock then cubert, perranporth, st agnes to porthtowan. Try to avoid the main roads on a bank holiday in newquay0

Heading south towards Perranporth, St Agnes, Portreath is just as hill as heading North to Padstow. Eveywhere in Cornwall is hilly!
A nice loop of 35 miles ish is from Newquay towards Indian Queens, along the old A30 to the goss moor trail ( tarmac) and back on to the old a30 at Roche where the Iron bridge is - turn left just after the bridge - keep straight on to Winnards Perch roundabout - straight on at roundabout towards Padstow then follow the coast road back to Newquay.
Or alternately from Newquay towards Fraddon - on to the Laddock Valley (S6 10 mile TT course) to Truro then back to Newquay - although roads will be busy this time of year.0 -
Cheers guy, will hopefully give them a try over the weekend.0

Head down to the Padstow area myself tomorrow for a week.
Mapped out a few routes to try, looks like everything down there is hills. Good training for the Etape Cymru0 -
Drive down to Hayle and then ride the coast road to St Just (avoid St Ives), looping around the Land's End and back via St Buryan before skirting north of Penzance and back lanes back to Hayle.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
