on my ride home from work today I hit the dip in the tarmac that I normally miss. I went into it at 20/25 mph ish it's a smooth dip only a foot long.I think it's where a lorry wheel has sunk into the Tarmac. Any way when I went down it I heard a click or a snap sound I instantly thought oh dear the frame has just given out then I thought it could have been the seat post .. When I got home I had a good look round and couldn't see any splits or cracks .. So anyone else had this or any idea what it was?

The frame is a Planet X super light pro carbon I think it's a 2009 frame

    Spoke?
Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.

Handlebar or seatpost slipping can make a loud cracking sound.

Wheel minutely not seated? Release the skewers and re-tighten to make sure.

Seat? Sometimes, if not tight enough, it will move angle.

the head set is in need of a new one very soon so more than likely it's that as it seems it's not been replaced since 2008
