Having initially finished the race in seventh overall, Niki Terpstra was disqualified from the Eneco Tour after having used his elbow to push Maarten Wynants in the battle for position in the final stage. The Paris-Roubaix champion takes full responsibility for his actions and is deeply sorry to have put his colleagues in danger.

Yes, but who knows why. Clearly he didn't just come from behind the guy and decide to shove him. What had happened or been said previously?

Not trying to condone the shoving, but I suspect there was provocation, possibly not covered on TV.

Interesting that he is fired at for shoving, but it seems it is ok to shove back.
