Out on a ride I saw what looked like an adult sized tag-along bike ridden by two adults. It was definitely a tag-along with the front part being a hybrid. I used to use a tag-along attached to a mountain bike with my children, but it wasn't big enough for anyone over about 10. It got me thinking though, how would a road based tag-along type set up ride with two adults? Apart from the fact there were two riders, how similar would it be to a tandem? Would the third wheel, extra drive train and articulated joint negate any aero advantage? I've ridden with a team on a racing tandem and they were very fast on the flat, not that good in the hills. Would the racing tag-along be similar?

It could be a good way for a more social fast ride, without the need for a double garage.

Must be fun for the visually impaired to, probably feels very different to a tandem.
