How does your club deal with riders who can be dangerous ?

A very real and most irritating problem within the group I belong to actually relates to a handful of its most accomplished members. We have lots of different rides throughout the week and each ride caters for varying abilities. Sometimes a group of real powerhouse cat 1`s will ride with a group well beneath their abilities and don't they always manage to turn it into a race :roll: , ive noticed regular riders turning up for rides that are well suited to their level and seeing some of the race mad riders heading out with that group, eyes get rolled , looks get exchanged and some riders say sod it and go off and do their own thing. This turn every outing into a race mentality has been brought up time and time again but those whom its aimed at let it go in one ear and out the other side unfortunately.
