Hi all,

I'm looking at using the rotor bbright to 24 bottom bracket for my s3. Does anyone know if the hope gxp adapter can be used to allow the use of a gxp sram chainset?

The rotor bbright to gxp is only available in the USA and I've been stung with import tax before!

Thanks

Should work but but depends on whether the installed Rotor BB meets the GXP dimensional standards - GXP cranks doesn't have any means of axial bearing adjustment, you simply tighten-up the crank retainer tightly and wavey washers take up the slack - if the crank is too tight you'll end up with binding/premature bearing wear. Hard to say without trying it.

what MD says. It depends how wide the NDS bearing is on the Rotor BB. If it's wider than the Hope one then when you fit the converters/shims the overall width will be too wide/narrow. Only if it's bob on will the BB preload be ideal.

My advice is to not go with a GXP crank. Go with a Shimano/Rotor et al crank where you can preload the BB yourself.
