Bottom bracket seems cross threaded

Hi Guys.
Just tried to replace my Campagnolo bottom bracket.....it looks like I have cross threaded the alignment threads while putting the left hand side part of the bracket into the bike. The crossed thread is in the bike and as a consequence the left hand part of the bottom bracket won't go in to the bike. Have I messed up my frame.
Any advice? I am desperate to ride tomorrow...

Take to you LBS to see if they can run a tap through to clear it. It may not have caused irreparable damage.0

Thank you Andrew, Just talked to a mechanic at Evanscycles he told me if the thread in the frame is cross threaded I need to take it to a frame builder which would cost around £200.....ouch...
I will try condor in a bit and see if they can repair it.
Any recommendations for this kind of repairs in East London?
Thanks for any help.
[EDIT] just spoke to condor, they can not fix it and offered the same advice - go to a framebuilder....I really hope I haven't messed up my lovely frame.0 -
you don't need a "frame builder", just an old fashioned bike shop with an old fashioned Campagnolo/Italian threaded bottom bracket thread tool, no idea about London shops though! i can think of at least 3 in Stoke on Trent !Colnago Addict!0

Sorry no helpful advice but you must be gutted to miss out riding this glorious weekend!
Hope you can borrow a bike from somewhere?!
I was a one-bike-man for years, but have seen the light and now keep two bikes maintained at all times so I am never without a ride (my second bike is my old alu frame made up as a wet weather bike but it ensure I always have a working bike)0 -

I agree . It should cost more like £20 than £200.
I did not know that Evans talked such rubbish. I will put them in the same category as Helfords in future.0 -

That's just bollocks, as above try to find a long established bike shop and they will have the gear to sort it out. I can't imagine you've caused that much damage you probably just need a tap run through the bb to clean up the thread. Good luck but I'm sure you haven't messed up your frame.0 -
Thanks everyone.0
