Why is it that about one in three completing this challenge are blokes? Whats the matter with people? Cant they read?

Personally i think its pretty disrespectful. I think there is a need to encourage more ladies to take up cycling and it tends to reinforce chauvinistic attitudes. There is quite a lot of discussion about this on the challenge thread...0

Wife did the Rapha 100k one. I thought it was great that there was a womens only one.
I only found out about it because she signed up for it. I assumed if you were registered as a male it did not show in challenges.
We did the ride together as a training ride. She did her fastest 100k and was really pleased.0 -
Excellent, well done her. About one third of the folks on the leaderboards and therefore i assume the rest are blokes. Some of the discussion comments are interesting. Ok so it isnt the worst crime ever but ...0

I took part in the Rapha London South organised ride. A couple of guys were ride leaders. I had no dramas with it. They were great! Though I think Strava should recognise info from your profile for the leader boards etc.Specialized Dolce Elite - Commuter Bike
