More pedestrian ignorance

There is a new shared use path been laid down running along a fairly busy single carriageway which I have started to use more now I am travelling at slower speeds while still recovering from a back injury and bumped in to the most arrogant individual/couple.
Travelling at about 14mph and slowing every time I passed pedestrians for safety and mostly as they were walking dogs. The 2nd to last couple I headed towards I saw well in advance (200yards) so I moved right over to the left, 150yards no sign of them moving over, 100 yards still no sign so I slowed right down to about 5mph still didn't move over and ended up stopping face to face and I chirpily said good morning thank you for your consideration today, have a good day.
What an arsehole what is wrong with people? And on a Sunday of all days :wink:

    This is why there are roads.

    Shared use paths are for taking shortcuts or being lazy on 'rest days'
    I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.

    And, somewhere on a elderly persons' walking forum there is an old couple ranting about the cheeky cyclist on "their pedestrian trail" :roll:
