Hi,

Phone and Garmin all up paired fine, set off riding with the live tracker started. Come home and wife then says it either keeps going off and on or it does the first few miles then nothing happens after that? I always turn the wifi off before I leave the house as i thought that might be something to do with it but I guess not. Any suggestions or advice?.

Thanks

See the other umpteen threads on here re Livetrack issues because Garmin and Apple won't exchange information. I'm led to believe Android phones aren't affected by the problem, but I'm not so sure. Garmin have been trying to sort the problem for over 2 months now.

    IT ACTUALLY BLOODY WORKED!!!!!!!

We'll see if it does the same tomorrow.

Mine seems to have worked on first 2 tries.

I might take on the commute and get the family to watch.
Ideally I will get the wife to use my Garmin soon so I can see it in action.

Could be they've finally sorted the issue, but time will tell. Makes sense with the new Apple iPhone 6 due to be released around September to cock things up again for those that get one.

Well today mine failed again with LiveTracking but in a more unusual way. At 12.29 miles the device stopped recording data resulting in a straight line from where I was on the ride back to the start point. The LiveTrack link to FB showed the full route but only the data recorded up to 12.29 miles. As such I've cancelled my temptation to upgrade to the 1000 and will stick with the 810. I see no point in buying anything else from Garmin until they sort their firmware issues out.
