Heads up for families near Donnington Racetrack in Leicestershire, it's doing open evenings for anyone on a bike to ride around the racetrack. Went this week for the first time and regretted not going before and not taking my youngest. Costs £1 per person and ride as fast or slow as you want. Little kids riding anything bike shaped to big kids on tt bikes. Well worth going just google it, twice a month during summer months.

Good one. They also do similar at Mallory park in Kirby Mallory, near Leicester.

Liked the look of this and just checked dates. Sadly it's been suspended for a while...

Appears as if someone has been injured. Hope all make a good recovery

That's a shame suspect it happened just before I got there as ambulance was half way down the back section by the speed trap treating someone. Hope their ok and it resumes quickly, have to got to explain to excited 9yr old that we can't go now. Thanks for the warning Johnboy.

Mallory circuit visited tonight with youngest son of 9, can't wait to do it again. A lot better for younger kids as shorter and not so fast, very well run no speed demons mainly families. Wicked food from small on site cafe and not as manic as donnington well worth a visit. Also MTB track just opening classified as a red run but easier than cannock. Well worth visiting.

Tried Mallory for the first time yesterday evening with my two kids. Big 'un, on his new road bike, loved it. Little one on his 12" wheel mtb managing 8 minute miles, also loved it. That fact means I am forever going to be taking both of them which puts the brakes on my enjoyment as I have stay with little one. Or get a roof mounted rack so I can take the missus as well.

Glad they enjoyed it, my youngest has been doing a skills training course that's been run through the school holidays on a Wednesday as well as Monday family night and can,t get enough of the place
