Export Strava route to Garmin Touring Plus?

Hi All,

I'm sure it's possible but how can I get a route from Strava to my Garmin Edge Touring Plus? Strava gives me the option to export as a .gpx or.tcx but the Touring seems to want them as a .fit? I am copying and pasting them into my Garmin Courses folder where I can see other courses planned on Garmin Connect. How can I get strava courses to work on my touring?

Download the gpx, put it in the newfiles folder.

When you restart the garmin it will convert it to a fit file and put it into the courses folder.
