Restoring carbon fibre matte finish

Had a nasty scratch on the rear chain stay of my matte black carbon fibre frame. I polished it out successfully using a polishing compound but predictably that section of the frame is now shiny and not matte. Any suggestions in how to restore the original finish? Should I use a wet and dry paper to dull it down again or does it need to be sprayed?

    The best thing there is to take them to a paint shop and have them matt laquered. It shouldn't cost too much
