I'll be in the Croydon area for a few days next week and contemplating a few hours on a/the bike. As I wont be able to bring my own, does anyone on here know if there is any where in the area that would rent a road bike for 24-48 hours? Any searches on here and elsewhere seem to bring me to sites for the Boris bikes........or hybrid jobbies etc. Will have my own pedals etc if needed.

Thanks

On your bike in London Bridge used to hire 'proper' road bikes for the weekend, don't know if they still do (bit of a trek from Croydon mind).

There are also bikes for hire in Richmond Park but I suspect they're more hybrid/mountain bikes - I've only hired for a bit of a pootle round the park with my wife.

Have you tried Spinlister? It's an app that let's you rent a bike from someone or for you to rent your bike out. There's not much on it in this country at the moment but it seems a good idea in principle.

On your bike still do hire and East Croydon to London Bridge is 15minutes by train, just be careful of times that you're allowed to take a non-folding bike on the train.
