Hope this goes OK for you, just clicked on the Strava link and see that we are 'acquainted' from a certain motorbike forum...
Good luck with it, a sh!t thing to happen at any time of the year.0 -
Please don't misunderstand me, I sincerely hope the OP doesn't need a surgery. The risks from complications are really high now. After many surgeries over the last decade, 13 on my abdomen and 3 on my spine, I've been hit with serious complications several times, that were worse than the original surgery, or its cause. That clavicle looks pretty serious, but as said the angle of the image can make things seem worse.
Photonic, your case is really scary to me, hope that the nerve damage gets straightened out, part of my original injury to me spine gave me severe right leg nerve damage resulting in paralysis for 15 years. Finally, a good neurosurgeon did 2 level lumbar fusion giving me back the use of the right leg, and a return to bicycling!Lets just got for a ride, the heck with all this stuff...0 -
Thought I'd update this.
I had surgery yesterday and now have a plate. My clavicle was in 5 pieces which surprised me as this was not mentioned before surgery. I have to wear a sling for 4 weeks but can turbo train. Its going to be a long 4 weeks.0 -

On a side-note, how come you were wearing a Gabba? It's been pretty hot the last couple of weeks
...Good luck on the recovery (for everyone who's injured), being injured sucks, I spent the first 5 months of this year off the bike this year thanks to my patellar tendinitis recurring, not quite as shocking as a broken bone but still dam painful!0
