Carnival 'Tour Route' Sportive

Help!
I did the Carnival 'Tour Route' Sportive today from Saffron Walden (very much enjoyed it despite the awful weather) and picked up a puncture. As I was supposed to be riding with my brother I didn't pick up my inflator (school boy error).
To cut a long story short I got a puncture and had lost my brother by this point so a very kind gent helped me out. As he didn't want to loose his group he left me his pump and said he will see me at the end of the ride (extremely kind as I'd have been up sh1t creek without a paddle without him). Unfortunately I couldn't find him at the end of the ride so I feel like I've stolen the good Samaritans pump!
If you know who this was or if it was you could you please reply or PM me with the brief details (as there are some unscrupulous people on the inter web please convince me it was you by telling me your jersey colour, rough distance to the end where you helped me and what pump it was). I can either then send you your pump back or I'd be happy to PayPal you the money to replace the pump if you'd prefer. I really do appreciate you going out of your way for me!
I feel like a thief so please help me find my saviour of today!

Neal the organisers may have a global email list for participants.
Perhaps they could send a mail out for you.

I don't really use twitter so not sure it would reach many poeple.
I've sent a message to the organiser who said he will pass on my details if anyone contacts him. I just feel bad this guy has done me a big favour and has ended up out of pocket for his efforts.
