Garmin livetrack issues??.

Anyone having problems with livetrack on garmin edge?. Go out and start livetrack and all fine but when I get back I've been told by the people I invite that it goes off after certain times can be 5 miles into a ride or 40 miles. But when I'm home all is recorded nothing missing. Could it be a pairing issue?.

Yes I did have. I use an Apple phone and the suggestion is that the latest IOS update has buggered up the connection settings with Garmin Connect, but I also understand that some Android users are having issues.

With an iPhone, I uninstalled Garmin Connect and re-installed it. Had a moments success when testing but then failed again. Closed down all the open apps on the phone and re-booted the phone. Turned off Wi-Fi and the 3G icon re-appears. Connect to the 810 and and start LiveTrack and everything works again. Before connecting the phone for rides, I now have to turn off Wi-Fi to get 3/4G network coverage, then start the device. It would appear the fault with mine is it connects to the device using the house Wi-Fi but as soon as you're out of range, it fails to use the 3/4G network to reconnect. I'm with Orange or EE as they like to call themselves now and the coverage is crap which may be part of the problem.
