carrera tdf 2014

hey, looking into road bikes for sept maybe, one idea is cycle2work which would be around 500 maybe the carrera tdf 2014 is £269 at the min from rrp £550 is the rrp a load of rubbish on these? if you are going off the rrp it would be more than say a board man road bike, would that make it better spec? i looked at the spec and i honesty haven't got a clue lol,

    Mate boughtthat carrera.
    It suited him for a few weeks and they he spent more on a better bike.

    I'd spend extra and get the Boardman.

    thought it was too good to be true :) i may go second hand yet for around £500 gonna see how it lies nearer the time

    for a price of around 350 i would be looking at the mekk pinerolo which gets very good reviews
