London - New Forest

I posted this in the touring forum, but I'm not sure how much it is frequented...

I'm looking for route suggestions for London to the New Forest - more specifically Kentish Town to North Gorley (if it makes much difference).

I'd welcome any suggestions - obvisously I'd be looking to avoid main roads as much as possible.

There's a lovely 300km Audax that runs from west of London (Chalfont St Peter) down to the New Forest. Quiet roads and really rather lovely. You may well be able to bend bits of this route to suit.

Pretty flat as well!

Hi Ben,
Three of us went from Berkshire to Weymouth via New Forest last summer. It avoided Winchester and Southampton as well as major roads.

Here's another. It's the route from Kempton park to the New Forrest for the Friends of the Earth Big Green Bike ride.

Quite nice route, one bit where you have to cross over a motorway slip road, to get on a cycle path in order to cross the motorway.
