Mavic Cosmic Carbone - braking noise

Just received my new Canyon Aeroad with a set of Carbones with the Exalith braking surface.
After a quick spin last night the noise coming from the rear brake sounds like what can only be described as a bus braking - extremely loud and i can feel vibrations through the saddle.
I have played around and cant seem to adjust it to the point where this noise stops. After some online research it appears that the braking surface takes about 700 miles to break in????? But surely it shouldn't be making a noise this loud and the same doesn't happen on the front brake.
Anybody had experience with these wheels and any advice on how to make my bike not sound like a London bus.
Just to note i have got the correct brake pads installed (Mavic Exalith pads)

Have you searched the various forums? I ask as this has been discussed numerous times.
The wheels do squeak at the start but the noise will stop (or at least decrease) after a few rides.0 -
I have but it seems more than just a squeek.
The noise is extremely loud. The front brake squeals a bit but the rear is to a whole new level0 -
toe-in the pads a bit, they'll wear fast to begin with
after a while noise (and wear rate) eases, but they'll always make a noise as the ridges rub on the padsmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0
