A bit clarity required

What is really meant by the term 'the bunch have let this break go', is it just a mixture of:

a) They are not strong enough to do any damage
b) They are made up of the 'right' teams
c) Ahh they've got away
d) The DS slipped us a few quid last night
'Do not compare your bike to others, for always there will be greater and lesser bikes'

    if a cyclist of a different team is the only man between the teams GC contender and the team car then it's offside .
